Lone Tree Artist

Lone Tree Artist – TJ Rennaker -

Artist Bio- As a young man, TJ grew up in a small town in Montana, close to where the movie “A River Runs Through it” was filmed and has a lasting effect on his down to earth personality, art work, and life long love of fly fishing.   Today Mr. Rennaker lives in Lone Tree, just south of Denver  Colorado and is close to heart of the Rocky Mountains.  ”I’am surrounded by interesting and majestic landscapes around every corner.  My family and I have an outdoor lifestyle that provides significant inspiration for drawings and paintings.” As an artist, my primary medium is acrylic because of its great flexibility, lasting brilliant color and can give multidimensional textures to each piece . I also work in Pencil, Pastel,  Ink and “ink and acrylic wash” technique that is similar to water-color. -TJR

  1. http://www.tjrennakerart.com/home Living in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, I am surrounded by interesting and majestic landscapes around every corner. My family and I have an outdoor lifestyle that provides significant inspiration for drawings and paintings. January has been a great start to the year. While I did have to travel a bit I also found time for painting. I am having a lot of fun working with fan brushes (I think my favorite brush). I love the versatility of fan brush painintg and have been trying to use it in many ways to add interest to my pictures. I am in the process of completing 3 works that can be seen on the new to the site tab.

  2. Lone Tree Art Center – My family and I have already been to the newly opened Lone Tree Art Center three times We saw the Lone Tree Art Show, A Christmas Concert as well the White Christmas play. Living in Lone Tree, I believe the center is something for us to be proud of. The Art display was wonderful with many great pieces, both painting and sculpture. The seating is a good size. Not to big, not too small. The service staff were also very good and welcoming. http://www.tjrennakerart.com/home My family and I look forward to the various shows in 2012. I may try and enter the art show if I have the right piece. I encourage you to to if you have not. Information can be found here:

  3. Having grown up in the Bitterroot valley in Montana, I was always drawing and sketching the natural world around me. I am predominately a self taught artist having taken various classes over time. Art has always been a mechanism to provide great balance in my life and something I have taken with me as I traveled the world. I have been fortunate enough to have spent more than 13 years overseas living in Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia and have many of my paintings demonstrated in many places on many Continents. http://www.tjrennakerart.com/home

I consider myself lucky to now live back in the Rocky Mountains here in Colorado. My family and I love the outdoor lifestyle Colorado offers and from a painting perspective there is inspiration around every corner. http://www.tjrennakerart.com/home
